LED WS8212

Description:

LED WS8212 consisting of three LED diodes (R, G, B) and embedded control chip WS2811. Brightness every channel is control by 8bit values, thus 256 shades are available for every channel, totally 16 million colors are available. LED diodes could be connecting serially (maximally 1024 pieces, refreshing frequency is 30 Hz).

LED WS8212 could be used for creating dynamic lighting systems, also for running lines, lighting matrixes/tables, LED bands and also for standalone video display

Connecting of LED WS8212 is realized by soldering.

Parameters:

• Bits count (on channel): 8 bits (totally 24 bits);
• Maximal amount of diodes (capability for serial connection): 1024 LED diodes;
• Angle: 120 grads;

Colors:

• Red (620-630 nm) @ 550-700 mcd;
• Green (515–530 nm) @ 1100–1400 mcd;
• Blue (465–475 nm) @ 200–400 mcd;

Control Algorithm:

• Transmitting beginning by setting low level on input data channel, system waiting for transmitting;
• On input is 24 bits in three-byte sequence, it refers to first LED diode brightness (for example FF0000 – red, 00FF00 – green, 0000FF – blue, FFFFFF - white);
• First diode save received 24bits value into internal register and begin generate PWM signal according brightness preset, in same time all new data transmitted from input to output.
